Dedicated to critical cultural production at the intersection of art and activism.

We cover artists from around the globe whose work explores and realizes social change. Our goal is to provide a narrative about these activist efforts while simultaneously participating in them. Maintained by The Groundswell Collective since 2007.

Celebrate People’s History at Just Seeds: Our UAWMF Poster

Presenting the tale of that revolutionary art gang with an unprintable name!  A Groundswell tribute to Up Against the Wall Motherfucker is now available through Just Seeds.

UAWMF Poster at Just Seeds

. . .reaching out beyond their home in the Lower East Side of NY, UAWMF published dozens of broadsides, tour down the fences at Woodstock, were part of the 1968 takeover of Columbia University, and like their West Coast counterparts the SF Diggers, tried to turn daily life into revolution.

Like the others in the Celebrate People’s History series, this is a 2 color offset printed poster, sized 11″x17″ and presented unsigned in an unlimited edition.  Did we mention that it’s only $4?
