Dedicated to critical cultural production at the intersection of art and activism.

We cover artists from around the globe whose work explores and realizes social change. Our goal is to provide a narrative about these activist efforts while simultaneously participating in them. Maintained by The Groundswell Collective since 2007.

Breakdown Press Poster Series

The Breakdown Posters were launched to coincide with the G20 Summit that took place in Melbourne, Australia on the 18th and 19th of November 2006.  Since then, they’ve dropped two other sets of posters, including a 2007 edition with an anti-nuke theme.

Breakdown Posters

At a time when the role of creative activism is as vital as ever, these posters help to breakdown feelings of despair, analyse corporate agendas and provide some hope in a increasingly concreted and controlled world.

The posters are available for purchase, and include some favorites of ours along side Australian, Indonesian, and other North American artists.
