Yesterday’s DemocracyNOW broadcast featured performance artist Laurie Anderson. Along with a brief interview with Laurie, you’ll find video from her latest piece, “Homeland.”

So I just tried to, in any case, have a look at how stories have—and storytelling have changed people’s minds. And that’s the crossover between my work and, let’s say, current politics, is, how do you tell a story? What are these stories these candidates are talking about? You know, what’s this story about a war that will last a hundred years?
