Sao Plastico
Eduardo Srur installed giant bottles on the banks of the Tiete River to illustrate the impact that disposable waste is having on that most polluted river in Brazil. The work – titled PETS – was viewed by 1.5m commuters daily, and was the focus of state school field trips. More, the public can tour the site via boat. Srur has made some beautiful shots of the installation available on his website.

Srur notes that the inflatables will be recycled into backpacks at the end of the exhibit, and donated.
Thanks, Brad!
