Zoom-In Videos from Cause/Effect
While I was away in New Orleans, I received an email from Anita Yu, who wrote:
There was an event called “Cause/Effect: Design As Change Agent” last year which took place at the New School in NYC. I was the AP that helped produce the videos for this event and also edited 4 videos. Each video will be published every Tuesday on Zoom-In Online. Just thought you might like to know I recently posted a video on Bobby C. Martin Jr. who shared an inspirational story at this event.
The video discusses how religious symbology and the unconventional protest methods of a Harlem reverend inspired his work. With the help of a grant from Sappi paper, Martin teamed up with the Abyssinian Church to introduce an inspiring billboard campaign into the Harlem community, uniting locals and reducing the number of tobacco and alcohol ads in the area.
The Pursuit of Design: Bobby C. Martin, Jr. at Cause/Effect can be viewed on the Zoom-In Online website.
Thanks, Anita! Groundswell will keep you informed about Zoom-In’s forthcoming work.
