Dedicated to critical cultural production at the intersection of art and activism.

We cover artists from around the globe whose work explores and realizes social change. Our goal is to provide a narrative about these activist efforts while simultaneously participating in them. Maintained by The Groundswell Collective since 2007.

dropping knowledge

dropping knowledge inspires social transformation through innovative projects and multimedia. If that sounds like a vague statement, it is because the platform is a clean slate for public input.  The organization takes questions from the global public and take them to the streets, both on and offline. Highly democratic and transparent, dropping knowledge abides by a Copyleft principle of distribution, and is an open-source platform with 100% stakeholder perspective. It cannot be owned by any organization, corporation or individual; it belongs to the people of the world.

A non-profit initiative, dropping knowledge operates as an international non-governmental organization supporting social change.  Using advanced web technology the initiative creates multimedia-based campaigns and events.  dropping knowledge functions as a social amplifier, offering uncensored knowledge and inviting others to take responsible action within an international network.  A project of the Tides Center, its Founding Supporters are the Mark & Sharon Bloome Foundation and the Wallace Global Fund.

You’ll find a great deal of valuable content in the films section of their website.  They have published some inspiring and probing advertisements for their “Ask Yourself” campaign.  Of course, you can submit your own questions to the dialogue in their forums.
