Design Against Fur People’s Choice Awards

Design Against Fur 2007 regional winners have been selected, and voting is open in the People’s Choice Awards for the best poster. This year’s theme, “Fashion Victims,” inspired some powerful designs. You can help decide who gets the grand prize of $1,000 (paid by Fur Free Alliance) by voting before midnight EST on Friday, November 30th.

Yo! What Happened to Peace?
started in 2003 in response to the wars on Afghanistan and Iraq as a simple, 14 piece exhibit in Tokyo.  This year, they published the Yo! What Happened to Peace? book, which is a show of their commitment to “highlighting the beauty of hand-crafted printmaking techniques as a method of visual protest.”  The exhibit has been on the road since it’s opening, always on the look for new work and new artists.
